What is the purpose of calcination of petroleum coke feedstock?
The purpose is to:
1. Remove moisture and volatile components from petroleum coke;
2, improve the density and mechanical strength of petroleum coke;
3, improve the electrical conductivity of petroleum coke;
4, improve the positive resistance of petroleum coke.
Raw materials are stored in the tank according to different properties. In order to prevent equipment maintenance, it is necessary to reserve a certain amount of pre-crushed raw materials. In order to ensure that the particle size of the pre-crushed raw materials is not more than 40mm, the calcined mixed coke is required to be mixed evenly and the ratio is accurate in the raw material warehouse. The pre-crushed raw materials are weighed and then transported to the feeding funnel. The raw materials in the feeding funnel are intermittently or continuously sent to the calcination tank for calcination.
In the aspect of calcining procedure, it is mainly to control the temperature of the fire passage and the exhaust gas temperature of each layer. The temperature of the fire passage can be controlled by adjusting the amount of fuel, the negative pressure of the fire passage, the air preheating temperature and the reasonable utilization of volatiles. After the calcined material is cooled by the cooling water jacket, it is discharged by the discharge device. The discharge material should not be red material, and then the discharge material is sent to the next process.
